How to create an embedded widget
IMPORTANT: This article applies to our old Widget product, which will be phased out during 2020 in favor of our new and improved widget tool Onsite Campaigns. Read more, and learn about the Onsite Campaign Product here.
The embedded widgets are perfect to use if you want your widget to appear inside your content, for example, a blog post or other news feed type of content. The embedded widget is static and will be there even if the user scrolls down the site and it can't be closed. Here's a guide of how to insert it to the page:
- Embed into an HTML-element. Use CSS-selectors to pick the element you want Triggerbee to search for in your content and add the widget after. It is important that it is a unique element.
- Embed using shortcode. Copy the shortcode and go to your site CMS. Insert the shortcode you have copied into the article or wherever you want it.
