Adding a Countdown to your Widget

Triggerbee offers two types of countdowns. One based on a certain date and time, and one session based.

  • Date & Time: Let's you set a specific date and time, which the counter will count down to. Suitable for counting down to events or releases.
  • Session: Let's you set a certain time range, eg. 30 minutes, for which the visitor will have to finish the conversion. Suitable for adding urgency of an offer.

How to add a Session Counter

1
Navigate to the Content section of the widget editor.
2
In the intro-text area, enter your content and press the session counter button.
3
Add a countdown time (in minutes) to which the counter will count. Also add an expiration message, that will display in the widget if the visitor does not convert before the time is up.
As default, the counter will display the counter in days, hours, minutes and seconds. If there's less than 1 day left, days will not be displayed, etc.  If you want to change this, and only have minutes and seconds, for instance, just remove the other fields in the Countdown format area: ["{minutes} minutes", " {seconds} seconds"]
4
Press OK to save, and you'll have your counter in the intro-text field.
5
Finish your widget set up and publish the widget to see the result.
