Subscriber identification is a session condition, used to target identified visitors who have a unique subscriber identification ID.
The Subscriber identification condition only works with the CRM Rule, Custobar, and Klaviyo.
Being identified with subscriber identification differs from being identified via email. To be identified as a Subscriber, the visitor must have visited the website via a newsletter from your CRM.
How to work with Subscriber identification
You will find the Subscriber identification targeting under Session Conditions, either directly in your campaign or as a part of an Audience.
Select your CRM in the list and save. The campaign will now only display for visitors that has a subscriber ID from your selected CRM.
Subscription Checkbox list
The Subscription identification targeting is very useful for working with the Subscriber Checkbox List, and sometimes even required when doing so.
The Subscription Checkbox List Component is intended for visitors with a Subscriber Identification. It allows your subscribers to manage their preferences by subscribing to various newsletter topics or updating their choices at any time.
How to use the Checkbox List
Create a campaign and navigate to the left menu: Add Component > Form and select Subscription Checkbox List. The Subscription Checkbox List component is directly connected to your integrated newsletter system (only Rule, Custobar and Klaviyo).
Navigate to Subscription Topics and add the topics you want your visitors to manage. Feel free to change the name of each topic to make it more suitable for the campaign. The ID stays the same.
You can also add the option to "uncheck all", to allow subscribers to unsubscribe to all topics.
Upon adding the Subscription Checkbox List, Triggerbee will automatically add the Subscriber Identification targeting (read more above). This is because we can only display what the current topic a subscriber has, if they are identified as a subscriber.
However, if you also add an email field to your campaign, it will be targeted to visitors without a subscriber ID - since they can then subscribe, and add topics.
Examples of when to use the Subscription Checkbox List for Identified Visitors
Embed the campaign in the “Account Settings” or “My Pages” section of your website. You can also have a "subscription page" where your current subscribers can manage their subscription. Alternatively, trigger a campaign from a link to your website included in your newsletter send-outs.
And when to use the Subscription Checkbox List for Not identified visitors
For unidentified visitors, trigger a campaign with this component after they enter through a double-opt-in email link following a newsletter subscription.
