The Onsite Experience Performance page gives you a detailed view of how an individual experience is performing - from basic metrics like impressions and form responses to deeper insights about conversion rates, funnels, and attributed sales.
Use the dashboard to understand how visitors interact with your experience, compare variants, follow conversion funnels, and see how the experience contributes to purchases and revenue. Customize the dashboard with the metrics that matter most for the experience and compare performance between different periods.
Filter and compare your data
At the top of the Performance page, you can control which data is displayed throughout the dashboard.
You can:
Select a variant to view results for all variants or analyze a specific variant individually. This dropdown is only visible if your campaign has more than one variant.
Select a date range to decide which period you want to analyze.
Compare periods to see how your metrics have changed compared with the previous period or the same period last year.
Export your data for further analysis.
Changes compared with the selected comparison period are displayed directly on the metric cards, making it easy to spot increases or decreases.
Customize your performance metrics and sections
The Performance section gives you a quick overview of the most important metrics for the experience.
Depending on the type of experience, this can include metrics such as:
Impressions
Form responses
Response rate
Experience goals
Experience-to-goal rate
Use Customize metrics or Add metric to choose which metrics you want to keep visible on your dashboard. This lets you adapt the page to the purpose of the experience instead of using the same KPIs for every campaign.
Hide sections from the performance page
You can also hide whole sections from the performance page in the customization tab if there is something that is not relevant to this experience. For example, you can hide the Revenue Impact section if the campaign is not assisting sales (and never will be). Simply press the trash icon to hide the section.
Select an Experience Goal
All Onsite Experiences get a Purchase as their goal. But that is not always what the goal is, at least not the short-term goal. If you want your experience to measure and strive towards another goal - such as logins, membership signups, or adding something to the cart- simply switch the experience goal.
The goal you select will affect all related metrics on the page, such as:
Experience Goals
Experience Goal Rate
Conversion Funnel
Note: The Experience Goal Rate may differ from the Purchase Rate even if you set your experience goal to Purchase. This is because the Experience goal and goal rate count purchases/goals happening within the same session as the experience interaction (click, form submission, etc.), while the Purchase Rate under Revenue Impact uses a 7-day attribution model.
Analyze performance over time
The Performance over time chart visualizes your selected metrics across the chosen date range.
This makes it easier to identify trends that can be difficult to spot from totals alone. For example, you can see whether response rate remains stable while impressions increase, or whether performance changes on particular days. Hover over the chart to inspect the values for a specific date.
The graph includes your selected metrics:
Compare performance between variants
If your experience contains multiple variants, use the variant selector to analyze them separately. You can switch between All variants and individual variants to understand how each version contributes to the overall performance of the experience. Selecting a variant will affect all metrics on the page.
The Experience Funnel also lets you switch between variants and see how visitors progress through the steps of each one. This is particularly useful for A/B tests and experiences where variants contain different content or flows.
Measure assisted sales and revenue impact
The Revenue Impact section helps you understand purchases and revenue associated with the experience.
Metrics can include:
Orders (last-touch) – purchases attributed to the experience using last-touch attribution.
Purchase rate – the percentage of attributed interactions that resulted in a purchase.
Last-touch revenue – revenue attributed to the experience.
Average order value – the average value of attributed orders.
The selected attribution model is displayed at the top right, so you can see how long after an interaction or form submission a purchase can be associated with the experience. Click the attribution model to change it.
The Impact over time and Purchase Rate charts let you follow these metrics throughout the selected period rather than looking only at the totals.
Follow the conversion funnel
The Conversion Funnel shows how visitors move from seeing or interacting with the experience toward your selected experience goal for the experience:
For example: Experience opened → Click → Login
For each step, you can see how many visitors reached it and the percentage that continued through the funnel. The dashboard also displays the Starting Audience and Overall Conversion for the complete funnel.
You can add goals within the funnel to analyze the journey toward different outcomes.
This is useful for identifying where visitors drop off. An experience might have a strong form response rate, for example, while relatively few of those visitors continue to purchase.
Analyze the Experience Funnel
While the Conversion Funnel focuses on the journey toward the selected experience goal, the Experience Funnel focuses on what happens inside the experience itself.
You can see how visitors progress between the different steps or states of an experience and switch between variants to compare their flows. This helps you identify whether visitors who start interacting with an experience actually complete its intended action.
Explore visitor interactions
At the bottom of the dashboard, Latest Activity gives you access to the individual visitor activity behind your aggregated statistics.
The Visitor activity section shows visitors who have recently seen or interacted with the experience. From here, you can open Explore visitor activity to investigate individual visitor journeys in more detail. This is useful when you want to move beyond aggregate metrics and understand what visitors actually did before or after interacting with an experience.
View recent form responses
For experiences containing a form, Latest form responses displays recent submissions directly on the Performance page.
You can see submitted information such as email address, name, and submission time, depending on the fields included in your form. Select See all form responses to explore the complete list of responses.
